About Me

Hello! I am Andrew T. Pipo, and I am a fourth-year student at the University of Cincinnati's College of Engineering and Applied Science and the College of Education, Criminal Justice, and Human Services majoring in Computer Science, as well as minoring in Information Technology and obtaining a certificate in Software Engineering.

I have a solid background in both the technology and customer-service fields. Over the past few years, I have earned ten certifications, including Microsoft Office Specialist Master for Microsoft Office 2016 and Adobe Certified Professional in Visual Design. I have developed proficiency in a variety of programming languages, including TI-Basic, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, Python, C++, MATLAB, LabVIEW, Java, Kotlin, C#, C, Assembly, SQL, and VBA in Excel and Access.

I have gained customer service experience while working in a call center for a third-party administrator for insurance companies, where I assisted clients with filing claims and dispatching mitigation contractors. I also worked as a Retail Sales Associate at Staples in Huber Heights, Ohio, handling cashier duties, stocking, and assisting customers.

Most recently, I completed three co-op rotations with ATech Training in Walton, KY, as an Embedded Software Developer Co-op, where I specialized in developing Android and web-based applications, graphical user interfaces, and serial communications. Additionally, I accepted a position as a Lead Peer-Teaching Assistant for the first-year Engineering Design Thinking I & II courses at the University of Cincinnati's College of Engineering and Applied Science, where I assist in overseeing the curriculum and logistics, as well as leading a small team of teaching assistants.

Outside of my academic and work pursuits, I have volunteered with Habitat for Humanity, Cincinnati Parks, and OneSource in Cincinnati, engaging in activities like manual labor, event assistance, and supporting nonprofit organizations.
